Our House in the South West Alentejo, Portugal

The South West corner of the Alentejo district of Portugal is within easy reach of both Lisbon and Faro airports yet is completely unspoilt by tourist development.

In an easily accessible area there are gently rolling hills, a national park and beautiful beaches. Rest assured that if all you know of Portugal is the Algarve, you are in for a surprise.

This website provides a resource for visitors and holiday makers to the area. There are articles on the local area, the beaches and the food of the district.

In due course, articles will be written about the local towns such as Odemira, Vila Nova de Milfontes and Zambujeira do Mar. These will include information on shops, restaurants, local businesses and entertainment.

There isn't a great deal of holiday accommodation in the area, but we will have feature articles on houses and villas that are available to rent to holiday makers.
